Cookies Notice

The Fasting Vault Last updated: [DATE OF PUBLICATION] Version: 1.0

1. About this notice

This notice explains what cookies are, which cookies we use on thefastingvault.com, and how you can control them. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle the personal data those cookies generate.

thefastingvault.com is operated by The Limitless Space Limited (company number 12763894), trading as "The Fasting Vault." We follow the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR) and the Information Commissioner's Office guidance on cookie consent.

2. What cookies are

A cookie is a small text file that a website places on your device when you visit. Cookies allow a website to recognise your device on later visits, remember your preferences, and collect information about how the site is used.

We also use things that behave like cookies but technically are not — for example, local storage (data your browser stores for the site) and tracking pixels (a tiny image used to count opens or visits). In this notice we call all of these "cookies" to keep things simple.

3. Our approach to cookies

When you arrive on the website for the first time, we show a cookie banner that asks you whether you want to accept non-essential cookies. You can:

  • Accept all cookies

  • Reject all non-essential cookies

  • Manage your choices by cookie category

Our cookie banner gives you a Reject All button that is as easy to find and use as the Accept All button. We never use pre-ticked boxes. Choosing "Manage" gives you the same level of control over each category.

Until you make a choice, we block all non-essential cookies. Only the strictly necessary cookies listed in section 5 will load before you choose.

If you reject non-essential cookies, only the cookies that are strictly necessary to run the website will be set. Some features may not work as well — for example, we will not be able to remember some preferences you set during your visit.

You can change your choice at any time by clicking the "Cookie settings" link in the website footer.

4. Categories of cookies we use

We group cookies into four categories.

4a. Strictly necessary cookies

These cookies are required for the website to function. They do things like remember what you have put in your basket, keep you signed in to your account during a session, and protect the site from security threats. We do not need your consent to set these cookies.

4b. Functional cookies

These cookies remember choices you make on the website (for example, your country or language). We only set them with your consent.

4c. Analytics cookies

These cookies tell us how visitors use the website — which pages they visit, how long they stay, and where they came from. We use this to improve the site. We only set them with your consent.

4d. Marketing cookies

We do not currently set marketing or advertising cookies. If we add them in the future, we will update this notice and ask for your consent through the cookie banner before any are set. If you ever see a cookie in the table in section 5 that looks like an advertising cookie, please tell us — we will check it and update this notice.

5. The specific cookies on this site

The website is built on Squarespace, and most of the cookies are set by Squarespace on our behalf. The table below shows the cookies that are typically set. We refresh this list whenever Squarespace updates its own cookie schedule. You can see Squarespace's live cookie list at squarespace.com/cookie-policy.

Action required before publication: sign in to your Squarespace account, open the per-cookie reference at support.squarespace.com/hc/en-us/articles/360001264507, and confirm the cookie names, purposes, and durations above match the current Squarespace schedule. Update any rows that have changed.

How long your choice is remembered: we remember your cookie choice for 12 months. After that, we will ask you again. You can change your choice sooner using the Cookie settings link in the footer.

6. How to manage cookies

On this website

You can change your cookie preferences at any time by clicking the Cookie settings link in the website footer. This will reopen the cookie banner.

In your browser

You can also block or delete cookies directly in your browser settings. Most browsers let you see and remove the cookies a site has set, and configure whether the browser accepts or blocks future cookies. The links below take you to the relevant help pages:

If you turn off all cookies in your browser, the website may not work properly.

Do Not Track

Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" signal. There is no agreed standard for what a site should do with that signal. We rely on the cookie banner instead, because that gives you a clear and recorded choice.

7. Third-party cookies

Where third parties set cookies through our website (for example, our payment processor), those cookies are governed by the third party's own privacy policy and cookie notice. The links below take you to the relevant policies:

8. Changes to this notice

We may update this notice from time to time. The "Last updated" date and version number at the top of the page show when it was last changed.
